HIDDEN VALLEY WEDDING

Light classical background music, romantic strolling musicians-live musical entertainment for a perfect Cape Town wedding is what the Hungarian Trio provided for lovely Ulrike van der Horst’s wedding. As a member of her own string quartet, she is a discerning musician and chose our unique mix.Her splendid venue was Hidden Valley in December,in the Stellenbosch Winelands. http://www.hiddenvalleywines.co.za

For her Wedding March,Ulrike chose the Arrival of the Queen of Sheba, and the groom being Jewish,Siman Tov was played after the breaking of the traditional glass during the ceremony. The officiant was Peter Fox,a favourite marriage officer .We always enjoy the pleasure of listening to his wise, inspiring guided reflections.Peter can be reached through St Luke’s Hospice - http://www.stlukes.co.za

During lunch, the guests revelled in the delicious food provided by Overture Restaurant, with its magnificent view over the Winelands. This restaurant is the worthy recipient of a Diners’s Club Platinum Award, and was voted 4th best restaurant in South Africa in the Prudential Eat Out Awards. The Wedding Cake too,was utterly delectable! Indeed a discerning client, for food and music too!Through the tables we strolled, serenading everyone with their own lovely tunes.

At the wedding,we were delighted to see Ulrike’s parents,long-time clients of ours.Johannes is now a retired Old Mutual top executive, and Elinore his wife is a great music-lover.For her,we played her favourite ,Di Rigori from Der Rosenkavalier.

Later, everyone happily danced waltzes and tango’a with great abandon. A wedding in a million.
